Shania Twain posters
Seems like this Canadian girl has been famous forever. Though it`s not true. It took a time before Shanai Twain posters appeared all over...
Shania Twain (Eillen Regina Edwards) was born in Ontario. But when Eillen was two her parents divorced. Her mother then moved
with Eilleen and her sister Jill to Timmins, Ontario, where she married Jerry Twain. He adopted the girls giving them last name Twain.
Eilleen Twain had a hard childhood. Her parents didn`t earn enough. So Eillen learnt to hunt and to chop wood.
she worked at an Ontario McDonald's restaurant and started to earn money by singing in clubs and bars to support her family.
At the age of eight she was earning twenty dollars between midnight and one a.m. singing in smoky atmosphere of night clubs. Now Shania believes
that for her it was kind of an art school on the way to popularity.
After graduating Twain wanted to continue studying music. She began taking singing lessons. Her coach was Ian Garrett and as often instead of paying
for the lesson Twain simply cleaned his house. In the 1984 Twain was noticed by a Toronto DJ Stan Campbell. He was recording an album by Canadian musician
Tim Denis at the time and Twain featured on the backing vocals. Campbell later took Twain to Nashville to record some
demos, which Twain found particularly difficult to finance.
After Twain's siblings moved out on their own, she recorded a demo tape of her songs, and her manager set up a showcase for Twain to present her material
to record executives. Twain caught the attention of a few labels, including Mercury Nashville Records, who signed her within a few months. During this time,
she changed her name to Shania, an Ojibwa word which means "on my way".
From that time her life has turned upside down. And even though now Shanai Twain pictures, records, photos and even parfum are everywhere, she had to make a long way to it...
