Aaliyah Dana Haughton was more famous in the name of Aaliyah; this famous American actress, artist and model was born in Brooklyn but was raised in Detroit. She was born on January 16, 1079. Aaliyah entered the showbiz world quite early as she signed a contract with Jive record and Blackground Records. Her uncle Barry Hankerson introduced her to R. Kelly who not only became her mentor but also he became the songwriter for her. Her first successful musical album songs were written by R.
